Orlaith Byrne is the Litigation Partner of Giles J Kennedy & Co. She is involved in both contentious and non contentious litigation. She has a particular expertise in construction disputes and has acted for both Employers and Contractors in construction projects including delay analysis, loss and expense claims, contract interpretation and design liability. Over the last 20 years Orlaith has acted for various Insurers in respect Professional Indemnity claims brought against Architects, Engineers, Solicitors and Accountants.
Orlaith was educated at Mercy College in Dublin up to Leaving Certificate. After her Leaving Certificate she joined the work force but returned to study law initially at Rathmines College and subsequently Griffith College on the South Circular Road. She joined Giles J Kennedy & Co. in 1988.
Orlaith has a Diploma in Legal Studies, a Certificate in European Law and an Honours Degree in Business and Law. She was admitted to the role of Solicitors in 2006.
